the chillin story
After leaving school at the early age of 15, CEO - Rick Ager, entered the workforce starting his career as an Apprentice Appliance Mechanic. He was quickly promoted through the ranks in his place of employment , as a result of hard work and meticulous workmanship. Rick then started his own washing machine appliance business at only 17 years of age.
In his career Rick has established many new companies, some of which he was fortunate to acquire and build up from old employers. It was him aim to have one of the largest coin operated & appliance repairs / rental business’s in QLD, which resulted in over 500 coin operated machines and 3 Laundromats . Rick then sold these companies to concentrate on Air Conditioning, directly importing his own air conditioner brand. He developed hundreds of other accessories under his own brand “AGER”. This was driven by the need for more competitive pricing in the market place, and consumer demand.
Below are his businesses that he has opened, owned and operated , with many of these still in operation today, developing his entrepreneurial portfolio ;Mt Gravatt washing Machine Centre, Logan Appliance Centre, Premier Washing Machine Service, Ballan Rentals, Laundry & General Rental, The Appliance Centre, Rager Chemicals Pty ltd, Rager Laundry Power, Rager Vending machines, Ager Air Conditioning Pty Ltd, Ager Imports Pty Ltd, Aussie Outdoor Direct Pty Ltd, , Chillin Air Conditioning & Insulation Pty Ltd & Chillin Air Conditioning Pty Ltd. In 2019, Rick married his high school sweetheart Deb, and after much delibration, Deb joined the company bringing her wealth of knowledge into the Chillin office to become joint forces in bringing Chillin to where it is now. Rick and Deb's focus has always been what is best for our customers, providing exceptional customer service and after care, and to look after their employees. Chillin have supplied & installed hundreds and thousands of air conditioners from one residential units, to multi -residential and numerous town house developments.
